The IE MQB HPFP upgrade kit unlocks fuel delivery for ethanol, larger turbos, and IE’s TrueFlex ECU tunes for the VW & Audi MK7 & 8V 2.0T Gen 3 engines. The piston and cylinder assembly is the largest volume possible within the stock fuel pump body. Top-quality components and IE’s strict QC process ensure extreme reliability. Increase your fueling overhead and enjoy worry-free HPFP operation for your MQB 2.0L turbocharged engine.
Every piston and cylinder is CNC machined to exacting sizes, assembled, and measured as a matching set in-house. Tolerances are hand-verified using specialized measurement tools and verified down to 0.00005 of an inch to ensure reliability and proper function. These extreme manufacturing and QC processes are the foundation that has built IE’s leading reputation in HPFP reliability and the popular choice for anyone wanting worry-free operation. IE HPFP designs are verified and torture-tested on IE’s own application-specific fuel pump dyno. This machine is able to replicate countless miles and various RPM situations to substantiate every detail of the HPFP design.

Added Displacement
Your HPFP is an integral part of the MQB platform direct injection (DI) system and provides exceptionally high-pressure fuel (exceeding 2900psi) to the injectors. When running turbo upgrades or ethanol fuel, the stock HPFP internal volume becomes the limiting factor when increasing power. IE’s HPFP internals install into your factory pump housing and increase the bore and piston size of the pump internals, allowing more flow, delivering more fuel, and allowing for more horsepower & torque.
Flow Testing
Upgrading to IE’s HPFP reliably increases the flow rate of the high-pressure pump for more tuning headroom to increase power safely. The result is a maximum gain of 38.58% over stock!
Pump Dyno Verification
This strict engineering process, combined with IE’s 100% in-house CNC machining, obsessed quality control, and top-shelf components is why IE HPFP Kits have earned their esteem and reputation for reliability.
Dlc Coated
DLC (diamond-like carbon coating) is an advanced coating process applied to the tool steel pin. This coating combines hardness and low friction, providing excellent wear properties and self-lubrication behavior that drastically extends pin life.
Constant Diameter Pin
Many aftermarket HPFP options use a stepped-diameter piston in a cost-saving effort to reuse the factory seal. This design dramatically reduces the contact between the pin and cylinder, causing instability of the pin stroke leading to increased wear. IE’s uniquely designed constant diameter pinmaintains its larger size through the entire piston shaft. This engineering detail increases the contact between the pin and cylinder by over 50% compared to kits which do not replace the seal and nut, increasing pin stability.
Nitrided Cylinder
The cylinder can see up to 19000 strokes a minute with an astonishingly thin tolerance and is lubricated by fuel only. IE’s tool steel cylinder is nitrided to guarantee it can withstand this torture. This advanced process infuses nitrogen atoms into the atomic structure of the outer surface of the component, increasing surface hardness and wear properties drastically. The thickness and quality of every nitride production batch are independently verified in a specialty lab.
Titanium Retainer
IE’s ultra-lightweight FEA optimized titanium retainer reduces the chance of valve float while securing the spring to the new IE pump assembly. The internal kit is designed correctly for the factory spring rate, avoiding the need for a stiffer spring that adds unnecessary pressure and wear on the camshaft.
Leak-Free Seal
A custom CNC Machined nut holds IE’s molybdenum disulphide impregnated PTFE seal, which is ideal for reducing friction and maintaining stiffness. The seal is spring energized to increase reliability and provide constant outward pressure. The body is sealed to the pump with a quality Buna-N rubber o ring, ensuring it will hold up against heat and a wide range of fuels. What may seem like minor features add up to ensure long life and trouble-free operation.
HPFP Tool
Disassembly & assembly of the factory HPFP housing requires a specialty tool to thread the assembly housing into the pump body. This offers better leverage for unthreading the body and reliable torque spec to complete the install process without any hassles to make the job easy.

Installation
Installing your new HPFP kit is straightforward with the correct tools and does not require any permanent modifications. Involves fuel lines and special care to avoid contamination in a clean environment; experienced or professional installation is highly recommended.
- Install time around 2-3 hours
B9 A4, A5 Q5 Install
The B9 2.0T’s high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) is laser-welded shut and non-upgradable. By swapping the stock HPFP with a VW MK7 2.0T vacuum pump housing and HPFP, you can upgrade to the IE HPFP MQB Upgrade Kit, which ensures the necessary fuel delivery for ethanol power.

Some items may require additional processing time depending on the specific product and current demand. Track your order any time at eurospeed.co/pages/track for a live delivery estimate.
International orders ship via Economy International, with delivery typically 6–18 business days depending on destination and customs.
Delivery time depends on the product. Most in-stock parts ship within days, while carbon fiber and made-to-order items may require production time before they ship. For the specific timeline on any item, check the Availability & Shipping section on that product’s own page — the guide below covers our general shipping types.
Shipping Overview
Depending on the item, free air freight may be available for select carbon fiber components, with estimated shipping around 1–2 weeks after dispatch. Larger hoods, oversized body components, and certain made-to-order items may require sea freight and longer delivery windows. If timing is important, please contact us at support@eurospeed.co before placing your order.
Shipping Coverage
EuroSpeed ships to customers across the United States and internationally. Shipping is included in the price of eligible products for your convenience and covers the initial cost of delivery to your destination.
Import duties, taxes, clearance fees, or customs charges required by your destination country are not included and remain the recipient’s responsibility.
Order Processing & Fulfillment
Every order is reviewed, processed, and prepared before shipment. Most in-stock products are processed within 1–3 business days, though some orders may take up to 5 business days depending on fulfillment location, product type, order volume, or courier pickup timing.
EuroSpeed stocks select high-demand products at our U.S. facility and international fulfillment centers. Because our catalog includes many vehicle-specific and specialty parts, not every product is held in-house at all times.
Some orders may ship through our trusted fulfillment network, which may include verified manufacturing partners, authorized distributors, regional warehouses, and international fulfillment centers.

Certain international, oversized, or freight shipments may show limited updates during transfer between fulfillment locations, warehouses, customs, or final-mile carriers. In some cases, tracking is provided or begins updating once the item reaches a regional warehouse, local carrier, or final delivery network.
Shipping timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by high order volume, weather conditions, customs inspections, carrier disruptions, production queues, warehouse transfers, holidays, or other external factors may occur and are outside of EuroSpeed’s direct control. These delays do not qualify for cancellations or refunds unless the carrier officially marks the package as lost.
Delivery Responsibility
Upon delivery, carefully inspect the item for visible defects or damage before signing for it. If the item is damaged or not as expected, do not accept the package. Once a damaged or defective product is accepted, EuroSpeed cannot cover return shipping costs.
EuroSpeed is not liable for packages marked as delivered by the carrier. If a package is lost, stolen, or missing after being marked as delivered, the customer must file a claim directly with the shipping carrier. Our team will assist with available documentation when needed.
Shipping addresses typically cannot be changed once an order has been marked as shipped. If an address change is possible through the carrier, any carrier redirect, correction, or address-change fee will be the customer’s responsibility.
Please ensure your shipping address is entered correctly at checkout. Orders shipped to incorrectly provided addresses are the customer’s responsibility. EuroSpeed is not responsible for failed deliveries, additional shipping costs, lost packages, or refunds caused by incorrect shipping information, failure to accept delivery, or failure to collect a package from the post office or carrier pickup location within the required time frame.
Customs, Duties & Import Fees
EuroSpeed’s free shipping policy does not include import fees, taxes, duties, clearance charges, or other fees required by your destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient, and EuroSpeed is not responsible for any duties or taxes requested by local customs.
Most shipments clear customs automatically through the shipping provider. However, if additional information is needed to complete the process, our team will assist where possible to help ensure a smooth resolution.
If customs clearance fails and the item is returned or destroyed:
- EuroSpeed reserves the right to deny refund claims.
- Returned items may incur return shipping fees, which will be deducted from any eligible refund.
